Asensus Surgical Leases SenhanceⓇ Surgical System to 9th German Hospital; First Pediatric Surgery Program
Medical device company, Asensus Surgical (NYSE American: ASXC) has announced the first-ever Senhance pediatric surgery program will be initiated by a children’s hospital in Germany.
The Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital at Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich, has entered into an agreement to lease and utilize a Senhance Surgical System.
- Asensus’ Senhance Surgical System will be used in the hospital’s pediatric surgery department and will be the first Senhance program devoted entirely to pediatric procedures.
- The company’s fully reusable 3mm instruments are optimal for pediatric surgeons seeking the most effective and least invasive way to treat smaller patients.
- Germany is a focus market for Asensus, due to its size as the largest surgical market in Europe. The company expects to see continued growth in Germany in future.
Asensus also released its Q3 2022 earnings highlighting its impressive utilization metrics – over 1,900 procedures performed globally in the preceding nine months – and the growth of the company’s installed base, with five new Senhance program initiations year to date.
